SnowdaySpinning

About
happiness is a warm fleece
My house was full of fleece, silk and general fibery goodness before I ever thought of starting this shop. What SnowdaySpinning has given me is an outlet for all the creative flights of fantasy that speed through my head on a daily basis. I see a beautiful tulip and I'm putting together the colours from leaf, stem and petal into a combination for my next dyepot. I kettle dye my silk hankies and yarn. I enjoy seeing the colours come to life in the swirling water - there's something just a bit elemental about it all!
This shop lets me play with fiber to my heart's content and people seem to really like the colours I put together on fleece and silk, which has been absolutely humbling and gratifying.
I hope everyone who buys anything from my shop - or who just enjoys looking at the pictures, feels even a little of the joy I take in creating every single listing for my wee shop.
Happy Spinning, Felting and Creating!
Also, in my listings for silk hankies, I mention that you should exfoliate your hands before going anywhere near the fibre. The best, cheapest, most natural scrub I've found is plain old caster sugar mixed with a little dab of honey, a couple drops of olive oil and a couple drops of essential oil if you like. The sugar scrubs your hands soft and the oil stays on your skin afterwards, smoothing the way for you to handle the silk hankies snag free - just a tip!

I fell down the rabbit hole of fibre love around twenty years ago now. First just knitting, but then a friend persevered with teaching me to spin and then there was no stopping me. I love colour. I love yarn. I love fleece.
