Let's make a difference, together.
I began selling wet felting supplies because of my own challenges in finding a resource in New Mexico that sold what I needed for my own feltmaking projects. I wanted to walk in the door and see the colors and feel the wool, but where I lived, that place just didn't exist. I was pretty sure that other locals were searching for the same thing, and so I began SoulFelt Designs, specifically with New Mexico fiber artists in mind. When I decided to expand that vision, coming to Etsy made perfect sense since I've been an Etsy handmade seller for many years.
The health of our Planet and her people are important to me, and I believe that making conscious choices about how we live day to day can effect us, not just locally, but globally. My mission, as the famous quote goes, is to be the change that I wish to see in the world...
I only source from those who sell environmentally friendly and animal friendly supplies, for instance dyed wool using Oeko-Tex 100 standards for non-toxicity, or who buy from farms that support non-mulesing of their sheep. I also use recycled and compostable packaging when possible.
And, I don't stop there. My own personal eco-conscious practices include recycling/re-purposing, composting, solar power, (I'm typing this using the sun right now!) and rainwater collection, which is great for felting. Try it, the pH is perfect!
Having said that, it's not always possible to acquire the tools that we use in the fiber arts that ARE eco-friendly, like bubble wrap, water sprinklers or resist material. The good news, is that these are things that we can use over and over again, and sometimes at least re-purpose.
I really do believe that together, we CAN make a difference.

Accepted payment methods
If you have any questions at all regarding shipping fees, please don't hesitate to contact me prior to placing your order. If you'd like a quote for multiple items, please include your zip code.
I ship using USPS and tracking where available. Ready made items will ship within 3 business days, but most often go out the next business day. The only time it may take 3 days is if you order on a weekend and I'm at a show and away from the studio.
(Rare exceptions would include extreme weather conditions, which do happen up here in the mountains!)
Returns and exchanges
- Custom or personalized orders
- Perishable products (like food or flowers)
- Digital downloads
- Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Here is my general refund/exchange policy...
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, I offer an exchange or refund if you contact me within 7 days of receiving the item. You will receive further instructions at that time based on the situation. Please note that the item must be returned in the same condition it was received and in the original packaging before a refund is disbursed. In the event of a refund, shipping costs will not be reimbursed.
If an item should get damaged in shipment, a photograph of the damage will be required, but returning it will probably not be necessary.
