A Little Bit About My Shop
Since 2007, I have been collecting wonderful vintage and new jewelry supplies to offer them for sale in my Etsy shop.
Several years ago, I also began to offer handmade jewelry supplies. These are mostly created by first oxidizing brass settings and findings, and then pairing them with rhinestones, cabochons, or Swarovski crystals.
I also offer a few colorful hand-painted stampings and charms.
Why St. Dymphna? She's a patron saint of families, crafting and crafters, and is invoked in cases of mental illness, which struck me as the perfect combination to capture the absorbing obsession that is crafting. It's also an unusual name that rhymes with nymph, which the poet in me loves.
This shop is a one-person operation. I order everything, dip my brass in liver of sulphur and tumble it in my Lortone tumbler, glue and assemble things, organize my stock, take and edit photos, fill orders and ship from my headquarters in what my family lovingly calls "the crap room."
