Sweet Freedom Designs
I love creating jewelry - earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and more. A little of this, a little of that; playing with colors, textures, and different materials and techniques. My handcrafted designs represent ME - they are bold, colorful, and always make a statement!
I quit my "real" job in 2007 to focus on jewelry design full time, and named my business Sweet Freedom Designs, signifying my freedom from corporate constraints. There's nothing like being your own boss!
I work with a lot of different design media: beadweaving and beads, metalsmithing, chainmaille, wirework, glass fusing, enameling, metal clay - and more. I have even made lampwork beads! I thrive on tedious, detail-oriented work like complicated bead or chainmaille weaves - the smaller the seed beads or jump rings, the better!
My favorite way to work is to combine 2 or more media - creating complex mixed media pieces. I just wish I had more time!
My design inspiration comes from everywhere - nature, especially the ocean; colors; textiles; patterns and shapes; and, of course, from gorgeous beads!
My handmade metal, glass, enamel, and beaded jewelry components (and some quality commercial supplies, too) are available in my Etsy supply shop from time to time: https://www.etsy.com/shop/SweetGoodies. Currently, my supply shop is closed so I have more time to create jewelry and patterns.

Owner, Maker, Designer
I have had a love affair with jewelry since I was a young child, playing dress-up with my Grandmother's jewels. Once I found out I could make my own treasures, there was no stopping me!

My shipping fees include: actual USPS first class postage rates PLUS the cost of all packing materials (envelope and boxes; bubble wrap, cotton, and/or other protective material necessary to keep your item safe in transit; packing tape; and package labels). As of July 16, 2018, my shipping fees will also reflect the new 5% "transaction fee" Etsy has added to all shipping charges for items sold on Etsy. Thanks for understanding!
I have recently decided to drastically limit my international shipping. My one-of-a-kind items for the most part are impossible to reproduce, and I am unable to track international shipments for less than a MINIMUM $27.50 shipping charge, and this is for my very smallest items. Therefore, I have decided to simply stop offering international delivery. However, my international customers are welcome to contact me to discuss shipping of any items of interest - and I will respond with the additional shipping charges. However, I will NOT ship international items without tracking. Period. Thanks for understanding - all my items are very special to me, created with lots of love, time, and one-of-a-kind materials, and I don't want to lose any of them!

Returns and exchange details
If an item breaks within the first three months of use, due to a defect in either the materials or craftmanship, please return it to me and I will attempt to repair it. You will be responsible for any shipping fees and additional repair charges, and please be aware that I may not be able to replace lost beads! Please insure your return package!
I am not responsible if any items break due to carelessness or other factors that do not pertain to the item's materials or workmanship. It is strongly recommended that beadwoven jewelry NOT be worn during bathing, showering, and sports! It also doesn't do well in the washer and dryer (yes, someone tried this - don't ask.)
**No refund on digital items**

I enjoy putting different colors and materials together, and receive many compliments on my colorways. While this is very flattering, please understand that I choose to keep my color secrets to myself!
