Lifelong Love of Gardening and Crafting Combine to Create The Little Hedgerow
In 2005 while working at a local plant nursery I was introduced to the wonderful world of miniature gardens. Having been a designer and crafter for over 20 years, I knew that this would be my new challenge -- to find the time to create a line of handmade fairy garden miniatures.
It's funny how things work out. In 2009 I was fortunate enough to have lots of time on my hands when my husband took a new job assignment in Europe for three years. I knew this was just the opportunity I needed to make my dream come true. And so The Little Hedgerow was born. Upon my return from Europe in 2012, my first sale was to the plant nursery where I used to work.
Inspired by the countryside that I visited often as a young girl growing up in England, I knew that once I returned home to Illinois, I wanted to start on the woodland miniatures. They are some of my favorites! There is nothing more magical and inspiring than nature itself!
The love of nature, the joy of crafting and the sheer fun of miniaturizing just about any ordinary item all come together in this collection of more than 600 miniatures. I am happy and proud to say that the result is lots and lots of smiles!
Etsy has allowed me to achieve more reach than I ever could have done by myself. In the process I have met some of the most wonderful people...who just happen to be customers!

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship outside of the United States?
YES, I do. All I need to know is what item or items you would like to purchase along with the country where you live. Please send me a convo with this information. I will be happy to calculate the shipping fee for you and set up a reserved listing.
Are the miniatures suitable for outdoor use?
Some are and some are not. I try and give this information in the listing's description. As with any item, prolonged exposure to the elements (mainly sun and rain) will eventually take a toll. A shaded, protected area such as a covered porch or patio would be preferable. Resin items can be coated with a UV spray protectant to help with fading issues.
