One-of-a-kind, handmade albums for storing your memories!
The Scrapologist (tm) is an art studio combining traditional book-binding techniques with newer scrapbook album methods such as junk journaling and memory-keeping. Featuring unique antique-shop finds, beautiful patterned papers, and other fine materials, every book is handmade with love and fresh ideas. Clients of the Scrapologist can express their own unique styles by choosing the materials, colors, and details that will add a personal touch to one of our handmade designs. These books are designed to be a family heirloom, to be enjoyed as a legacy for many generations to come.
Located in the beautiful state of Maine, The Scrapologist is passionate about handcrafting quality keepsakes. While being a small creative business, we have a strong international presence and we are honored and humbled to have shipped books all over the world.
Cindy's books are inspired first and foremost by her love of reading - holding a good book in her hands and reading before a fire on a rainy or wintery day is her idea of total bliss! So when she took a class on basic book-making, it was only natural that her love of reading and of paper-crafting merged into an idea for an Etsy shop. The Scrapologist studio is located in Cindy's Colonial home from the 1820s that she shares with her husband. When she is not her studio or out performing music, she spends her time lovingly restoring her home; but of course the craft studio was the first room to be finished!
Cindy is originally from New York City and her entire life has been dedicated to the arts, having worked as a classical pianist and off-Broadway and Broadway Music Director for 30+ years. She first started performing at the age of 13 and retired from performing and traveling at age 45 to finally marry and settle down! Her husband is a very talented portrait photographer at www.poshrocket.com and he lets her use his studio for some of the photos in the shop! And Cindy's mother, Ellen, now has the fever - she has designed several books for the shop, as well as scrapbook trinkets, making this a family affair!
Owner, Designer, Founder
When not in my studio cutting, folding and just enjoying all sorts of beautiful paper, I am either music-directing musical theater; or searching through antique shops for the perfect embellishments for my book projects!

Please read the listing carefully so you know how long it will take me to make your album. Some are ready to ship, but others may take weeks to make by hand. Each album is wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a sturdy box so it is protected during shipment. I do like to reuse like-new boxes when possible, but let me know if you prefer a brand new box.
Shipper is US Postal. We can ship UPS and FedEx as well, but this will be at an additional cost and may take longer to ship. Convo us if you would like us to create a custom listing for UPS or FedEx shipments.
International Orders: There is limited tracking on international orders, and thus international shipments cannot be guaranteed within a certain time and they are also non-refundable. International shipping fee is a flat rate and it excludes any additional customs fees that may or may not be charged. International customer is responsible for any applicable customs fees.
Please convo me if shipping seems too high. I often can find a cheaper method for you.
