Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between an unlined and a lined tutu top?
An unlined tutu top is see-through and a lined tutu top has soft lining on the inside for added comfort and coverage
What size should I order?
I base my tutu dresses off of length and what size your child currently wears in tops. All children come in different heights, so make sure to read the full item description and measure when possible. This information will tell you how long I make each dress (from armpit on down the leg). Any full-length requests are extra. For tutu skirts, I use a standard sizing chart for the waist. Always measure prior to ordering 😊
When I'm measuring my child's chest, where should I measure?
Measure around the widest part of the chest (i.e.: where the bust is) to ensure a nice fit tutu top.
Custom and personalized orders
Most of the items you'll find in my shop are customizable depending on current stock.
Gift wrapping and packaging
I ship each item in either a polymailer envelope or a priority box. Unfortunately I do not offer gift wrapping.
When will my item ship out?
The current processing time will be found directly on the listing you're interested in (depending on which method of technology you're using). Each listing varies! For example: "ready to ship in 2 weeks" means it leaves my hands in 2 weeks. Please allow an additional 3-5+ business days for your item to reach you within the U.S. (priority shipping upgrade is available at checkout and comes with tracking and insurance). Rush fees may be available depending on the item, time of year (not valid from August through October due to the Halloween rush), and amount of orders in line.
As of now, to save you money on shipping, everything is sent via USPS STANDARD SHIPPING. These items are sent out in a polymailer envelope and can take up to 5+ business days to reach you (plus my turnaround time). Your item will not have tracking or insurance and I will not be held responsible for lost or stolen packages. Priority shipping upgrade is always recommended in case of loss! This option comes with tracking and $100 insurance and is available at checkout.
My package says it was delivered but it's missing. What can I do?
Standard shipping: Unfortunately, there is no guarantee on this option but I will do my best to resolve the issue by filing a claim with USPS; however, this is not guaranteed (I will not give refunds if lost or stolen).
Priority shipping (upgrade is available at checkout): with this option, there is tracking AND up to $100 insurance. You must call USPS and file a claim so that you may get your money back in the case that your item is lost. Please don't hesitate to contact me as well so I may help you out.
Do you offer partial payments/payment plans? ("layaway")
Yes, I do. Please contact me for a special listing. I understand that money can be tight, so I try my best to work with customers. Please note: I do not make anything until it is paid off.
Do you offer price matching?
I may offer price matching depending on the item you may find in another shop. If the quality (amount of tulle, etc.) is comparible to an item in my shop, I am willing to work with you - but I will not sell myself short. Each shop owner spends their own amount of time and money on the work they provide.
Do you accept special requests?
Of course! I will never copy someone else's work but I am willing to make something original for you.
Do you make full-length tutu dresses and skirts?
Yes. Not often but if you have an idea, don't hesitate to contact me. Price will be higher due to more fabric use and shipping upgrades.
Do you offer returns or exchanges?
I do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations but please contact me if you have any issues with your order. If there is an error on my part, I will do my best to fix the issue at hand, so please contact me before leaving a review.
What if I order two or more items?
Please contact me for combined shipping methods!
Gently handwash with a damp rag and spot dry. Hang, finger comb, and air dry. I personally use 1/2 fabric softener and 1/2 water; spritz the tutu portion and finger comb the wrinkles out. Do not spray the ribbon as it will stain.
Do you offer long-sleeved tutu dresses?
This is a great question - especially during the cold months. Unfortunately, tutu tops are not made long-sleeved - BUT - you're more than welcome to add your favorite shirt and leggings underneath for added warmth!
I do offer shipping for international orders (outside of the U.S.). Standard shipping can take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks, plus my current turnaround time that is listed on the item you are interested in. Please check your countries VAT guidelines as you may be charged a fee when you pick your package up from customs. I will not be held responsible for this fee or lost packages. Please make sure your address is up-to-date.
Can I cancel an order?
I do not accept cancellations as mentioned multiple times in my shop announcement as well as my shop policies (and here). Please ask any questions prior to ordering.
