My Story and I'm Sticking to It!
Hi everyone, I am so glad you stopped by. My name is Lisa. I found that there are many other digitizers out there with this name, so wanting to be different I decided to create myself a business name, Willow. I chose this name for no other reason than I liked it, and primitive willow trees seem to be some of my favorite embroidery designs.
When I began digitizing I was a stay at home mom. I am very thankful to my husband for providing me the opportunity to spend that precious time with my children. I had worked in the medical field many years prior, and now that my kids are older I am back at it. I work full time night shift at a very busy trauma hospital!
My favorite hobbies include embroidering, sewing, crocheting, and just about anything having to do with needles and strings. I grew fond of these hobbies as a young girl, and I continue to enjoy them. While having the opportunity of a lifetime, I decided to try and make the most out of my hobbies, and bring my dream of becoming a business owner to life. And so the adventure begins......
I first started sewing and embroidering on projects for gifts, and then decided to make things for some extra cash!!! While I was in the process of doing a project, I found myself unable to locate just the right design I needed. I knew in my mind what I wanted, just unable to find it. It was at that moment I decided I wanted to learn to digitize. So the next step was to decide on a program to do this. I researched many different digitizing software and finally decided on Embird. It was a great program, and I was able to fit it into my budget. After creating my very first design, it was all over. I had discovered a new passion.
So wanting to find ways to make money with my newly found love, I went out on the town in search of business. I visited many of the local embroidery shops and was so excited when I was called for my very first digitizing job. And even more so when they were pleased with my work and called me back for more. But the adventure doesn't stop there, I decided to start digitizing clip art (some purchased and some of my own) and create a design library. With my full time job at the hospital, and very hectic family life, finding the time for digitizing can be a challenge! I still love the satisfaction I feel when I complete a new design, and the excitement I have when you guys purchase and enjoy them!!
Thanks for browsing and Happy Stitching!!
