Smitten with it all...
I have been smitten with / addicted to designing and making since I was a little girl and Get Smitten was born out of me wanting to share my love of all things hand-made with the world
Get Smitten provides a carefully curated collection of limited edition vintage fabric fat quarters, sourced from my buying trips across Europe as a prop stylist. All my fabrics are laundered and checked for defects before being beautifully presented to you.
I am always conscious to describe any fading of a print - which is often to be expected with pre-loved fabrics as they have already lead a life before arriving at Get Smiiten HQ. But rest assured, I do not sell fabrics with holes, stains or smells!
Shipping charges are fair and I always use a first class service with adequate insurance to cover both parties in the event of loss. There is a minimum shipping fee of £2.50 and additional items are calculated as combined shipping by the clever Etsy system.
If you require larger pieces of vintage fabric than a fat quarter then please do message me with your needs and I will do by best to help you out

Owner, * Founder * Designer * Maker *
I am a qualified Textile Designer and internationally published Interiors Stylist; Get Smitten is the brand under which I release my original designs, teach crochet and run creative workshops. I just wish my hands worked as fast as my brain!
I source pre-loved vintage fabrics from across Europe for you to use in your sewing and craft projects as well as offering my original designs in the form of crochet or sewing patterns, which can be downloaded as soon as payment has been confirmed!
Occasionally I also offer vintage treasures that I have found along my prop styling adventures if I think you may love them too!
The aim at Get Smitten is to inspire creativity and provide the know-how to do it
Accepted payment methods
I use a priority service with UK Royal Mail, but do please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery within the EU and longer for the US or Australia. I ensure that shipping includes enough insurance to cover both parties in the event of loss during transit, certain items will require a signature on delivery but this will always be detailed in the listing
My shop is created in GBP £ but Etsy will automatically show you prices in your chosen currency. Please note that for customised orders, prices quoted will be in GBP. If you wish to know what this is in your own currency then please use an online converter and understand that I cannot be responsible for the exchange rate! Larger & heavier orders will incur higher charges due to the Royal Mail using size and weight as their pricing guide.
Please also note that I am in no way responsible for any costs you may incur from import duty or state tax.
My digital pdf patterns are now available for immediate download as soon as your payment has been confirmed - nice and easy, anytime, anywhere!
Returns and exchanges
Please note: I do not issue refunds for a change of mind or for defect fabric - my listings detail the composition of the fabric (ie, cotton or polycotton etc) and also its pre-loved condition. If a print is faded it will be mentioned, and I do not send out fabrics that have uneven fading, holes, stains or unpleasant smells! Please read the listing carefully before purchasing
Sadly any return shipping will be at the buyers expense. Thank you for your understanding
Please note that I do not offer refunds on digital items as you will have downloaded them on to your computer hardware! Do take heed of this before purchasing and thank you for your understanding
Additional policies and FAQs
Please note: quotations for custom orders and relevant shipping costs will be made in GBP £ only. For the equivalent in your own currency, please use an online converter such as xe.com
Frequently asked questions
What is a fat quarter, I hear you cry?! It is a term widely used in the patchwork and crafting world that denotes a quarter of a meter of fabric. In order to give a more useful area to work with, they take a meter of fabric and quarter it by length and width so that you have a 'fat' quarter rather than a long one
They are 18 x 22" or 45 x 55cm
Custom and personalised orders
If you require pieces of vintage fabric larger than a fat quarter, please message me with you requirements. I have enough in stock I am happy to oblige.
My fabrics are pre-loved sheeting and so are not available by the meter or yard as with traditional fabrics - please let me know your desired size and will measure the amount I have left in stock
If you purchase multiples of one fabric, I will always try to provide it as one cut piece wherever possible. I will message you before dispatching your order if this is not possible
