It was a dark and stormy night ...
In 2009, I had to downsize my book collection. I had been collecting interesting old ephemera and books for years, but they had to go, finally: they were swamping my new apartment.
I decided to scan my favorite images in my favorite old books. This led to weeks of scanning, because it was harder to say goodbye to mildewed antique almanacs than you might imagine.
After all that scanning, it was a natural progression to turn the images into digital collage sheets. I haven't stopped since. Sometimes I even buy new books (well, new to me) and I scan those and then donate them to the local thrift store, where they know me on sight as the (probably annoying) person who donates heaps of books and then buys more on her way out.
I think you will see my love of art and history in my work, and maybe a little humor. If you have been a customer, thank you for your support over the years.
