One woman making her way in clay.
Back when I lived in Chicago in the 1980's, I had a friend tell me about a pottery studio that had evening classes. I was curious and thought it would be fun. Well, that was the beginning of a complete clay obsession that has not let up in over 25 years!!
I've been a crafter my whole life, and love making jewelry, knitting, crochet, weaving, beadwork etc. But clay captured my heart and it's all I can do to keep up with the ideas in my head.
I have been on Etsy since 2007 and love this platform to connect others with my handwork and find amazing folks who create!
well, I've been obsessed with clay since the early 90's! Making my living with my handmade wares is truly a dream come true.
Now, each piece you find here is hand made--that means you will not find pieces that look like they have been made in a factory--you will see the occasional glaze drip, or fingermarks on a piece...or a little bubble here or there in the glaze. It is the nature of handmade work. Please, if you are expecting things to be slick and perfect--this is probably not the best place to find it. What you will find is a variety of work in clay, some rough and rustic, some smooth and shiny, and all of it will be a unique statement of ME!
