A Sea of Treasures
In 2010, I decided I was going to make a little extra money by learning how to make jewelry and potentially selling it. I watched tons of tutorials on jewelry making, read "how to" blogs and articles, and browsed over many jewelry stores' and jewelry supply stores' merchandise. Eventually, I learned enough to make some simple pieces of jewelry in my spare time and started selling it on Etsy.
Although this was mostly a hobby to me, I wanted to be able to get supplies at an affordable price and was having a hard time finding just what I wanted. I decided I would try to sell some of my excess jewelry making inventory, mainly to make room for new items, and they sold so quickly, I decided, " I should do THIS!"
Soon after, I opened The Slippery Pearl, and focused on offering a large variety of items at affordable prices: my very own "sea of treasures."
In 2011, only 1 year after initially starting my business, I was able to quit my day job and focus on my online business full time. I am very grateful to all of my customers over the years for their continued support and for having helped make this business a success.
Accepted payment methods
International duties, customs, etc., are not included in the price of the item, and are the responsibility of the buyer upon receipt.
**Shipping arrival times: Domestic-First class (1-5 business days), Priority (1-3 business days. International- First class (2 weeks to 30 business days), Priority (6-10 business days)
**Delayed or Lost packages: A delayed package will be investigated before being refunded. Occasionally the postal service may not scan the package correctly or it may be delayed due to weather or issues with the address. We will investigate the delay and will give you all information regarding the issue.
Returns and exchanges
- Custom or personalized orders
- Perishable products (like food or flowers)
- Digital downloads
- Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
- Items on sale
All returns must be sent back within 14 business days of receipt. The return must be approved before being sent back. Once approved, the items must be packaged securely and shipped with tracking to ensure it arrives. If tracking is not used, we are not responsible for items that are lost in the mail.
**Custom orders that are made specifically for you or your company may not be returned. Any labor charges/molding fees associated with assemblage/production of any order will not reimbursed.
**Special orders (items ordered just for you/items that we do not normally carry) may or may not be returned, depending on the item. If any item is special ordered for you, we may not continue to carry it after the order, which is why we may not allow a return on that item. Special orders that are allowed to be returned will be charged a 30% restocking fee upon return. Please inquire about this prior to purchase if you have any questions.
**All other returns will be charged a 20% restocking fee, which will be taken out of the original total upon reimbursement. Original and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer and are not reimbursed.
